Foundation Bred Horses
We are located in the beautiful rolling hills near Hixton, WI. Red Oak Ranch produces high percentage foundation performance quarter horses.
We strongly believe in preserving the old foundation bloodlines such as Blackburn.
Our herd stallion, Blackburn Goldhombre, aka “Cash”, is linebred Blackburn/Poco. He is 99.7% foundation blood and is 5 panel N/N.

2023 Foaling: Looking forward to this spring and foaling season. It's like Christmas in May. The mares are in great shape and showing they are pregnant. Daisey & Peach are the only ones bred and are to Blackburn Goldhombre aka "Cash".
2023 will be the fourth year we will have shows here at the ranch. There will be 4 shows again this year. They will be the last Sunday of June (25th), July (30th), August (27th) and Sept. (24th). There will be a trail clinic with Pat Stevenson May 6th. I am also working on a Ground Work clinic and a "Through the Eyes of a Judge" clinic with Dan Grunewald. The showbill, clinics and other information will be posted on both Red Oak Ranch Quarter Horses Facebook page and on my Facebook page Edwin Johnson. This year we will have our 14th annual Pasture Walk at the Red Oak Ranch on Saturday, August 19, 2023. The Pasture Walk is an invitation for the public to come get a wagon ride out to see the horses and interact with the mares and foals. There are refreshments, snacks and treats for all. It really is a fun time for the whole family. So come join us for some good old-fashioned fun.
